Ms. Mokshda Bhushan [ LLB(UK), LLM(France) ,Bar-at-Law(Mauritius)]
Mokshda Bhushan has read Law from the London School of Economics and Political Science, University of London. After her Masters’ in French Law from Université Paul Cézanne( Aix-Marseille III) , France, where she specialized in Comparative law and Human Rights,she did her Bar Finals in Mauritius, where she was a gold medallist in Criminal Law and ranked 3rd at national level. She was called to the Bar in Mauritius and she has around 5 years of legal practice as defence and prosecution barrister, and has also held the judicial post of District Magistrate of the District Court of Port-Louis and Flacq in Mauritius. She worked a lot at the ground level for dissemination of legal literacy programs as a Legal Consultant for the Ministry of Women and Child Development, especially in Domestic Violence Laws Awareness programs.
She is presently employed in Amity Law School AUUP, where she has been teaching Cyber laws, Criminal laws, International Criminal Law, Women and Criminal Laws, Criminal Laws, Criminology, Human Rights, Trade Secret Laws, IHL, Medical laws, Legal Communication skills & Client Counselling and French. She has presented several papers in national and international conferences on gender, law and communication studies. She has also conducted several legal and gender sensitisation workshops for PSUs, Indian Police, BSF, ICSF and the Indian Army. She is a gender and laws trainer and consultant for NGOs. She has set up the Amity Centre for Gender Justice and Child Rights in Amity Law School Noida, where she empowers her students to further empower others through various activities and community outreach.
Her areas of research are violence against women, sexual harassment, cyber violence, gender and children rights issues, French language and inter cultural communication.
